چکیده

Introduction: Vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C) is the primary lymphangiogenic factor that stimulates lymphangiogenesis by signaling via specific receptor, vascular receptor 3 (VEGFR3). This study was conducted to evaluate change in level of VEGF-C before and after autologous bone marrow mononuclear cell transplantation for treatment Lower limb lymphedema. Patient methods: Forty patients with lower lymphedema were divided into two groups. Group I included 20 chronic who underwent transplantation. II exposed only compression therapy as a control group. diseased limbs measured both groups at beginning then 6 months respectively. Results: patients, 8 male (40%) 12 females (60%) mean age 29.5 ± 12.15 while group 20, 10 (50%) 39.5 11.5. In I, specimens taken showed marked decrease statistically significant p value, 0.02 0.001 alone interval fluctuation non-significant 0.64 0.55 Conclusion: essential regulation lymphangiogenesis. The found elevated cells, however these results statically non-significant.

Mesenchymal Stem Cells Differentiate to Endothelial Cells Using Recombinant Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor –A

Background: Vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A), an endothelial cell-specific mitogen produced by various cell types, plays important roles in cell differentiation and proliferation. In this study we investigated the effect of recombinant VEGF-A on differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to endothelial cells (ECs). Methods: VEGF-A was expressed in E. coli BL21 (DE3) and BL21...

Role of vascular endothelial growth factor in bone marrow stromal cell modulation of endothelial cells.

One of the fundamental principles that underlies tissue-engineering strategies using cell transplantation is that a newly formed tissue must acquire and maintain sufficient vascularization in order to support its growth. Enhancing angiogenesis through delivery of growth factors is one approach to establishing a vascular network to these tissues. In this study, we tested the potential of bone ma...

Characterization of Mesenchymal Stem Cells of “No-Options” Patients with Critical Limb Ischemia Treated by Autologous Bone Marrow Mononuclear Cells

BACKGROUND Application of autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells to "no option" patients with advanced critical limb ischemia (CLI) prevented major limb amputation in 73% patients during the 6-month follow-up. We examined which properties of bone marrow stromal cells also known as bone-marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells of responding and non-responding patients are important for amputation...

Autologous bone-marrow mononuclear cell implantation improves endothelium-dependent vasodilation in patients with limb ischemia.

BACKGROUND Patients with limb ischemia were associated with endothelial dysfunction. The purpose of this study was to determine whether autologous bone-marrow mononuclear cell (BM-MNC) implantation improves endothelial dysfunction in patients with limb ischemia. METHODS AND RESULTS We evaluated the leg blood flow (LBF) response to acetylcholine (ACh), an endothelium-dependent vasodilator, and...
